Who’s ready for summer?!

A busy Monday for us over at Keep the Beat Headquarters (apparently I have renamed my house!). And lucky me – I got to work with all of my people today!

Keep the Beat is very much a family affair for us – from our actual family to all our instructors who feel like family. We all work hard to make sure we are delivering our best service to all of our equally hard-working customers!

Proud mom/wife/boss lady moment aside: who is ready for the summer?! Or at least ready for spring to hurry up and get here?! We have been doing our best to try to schedule and post our public classes as far out as we can.  We are teaching in Columbia twice this month and 3 TIMES IN MAY! Woohoo! ACLS Update will continue to be offered once per month in Columbia as the demand continues 🙂

Stevensville classes will still be offered 2-3 times each week to make sure we are meeting the demand of all of our Eastern Shore folks!

We know the summer is a busy time for everyone and a lot of you need your CPR and first aid certifications for your summer gigs. So, we will be scheduling and posting classes for the summer soon so that you can plan ahead and be ready for your summer!

If you need to schedule on-site training for your staff, give us a call!

Inclement Weather – December 9th

You know it’s winter time when they’re calling for our first snow! That also means it’s a time to be extra careful out there and not put yourself in conditions you think are unsafe.

We are scheduled to have a class tomorrow, December 9th at our office. For those of you that are registered to take this class, please know that we do not want you to be out in the snow if you think it is unsafe. Kevin and I are looking to come up with alternatives for the students unable to make the class tomorrow due to the snow. If this pertains to you, please contact us either by calling 410-758-2022 or by emailing caitlin@ktbtraining.net to reschedule your training.

Stay safe and warm!

Gearing up for Thanksgiving!

Happy Saturday everyone! Kevin and I are here at the Maryland Association of School Health Nurses Annual Conference in Ocean City, MD and I felt it was time to check in with you all!

It’s crazy to think that Thanksgiving is this week! Where has the year gone?! Looking at the week ahead, we have a couple of classes scheduled for you all. We now have 2 classes scheduled for Monday, November 20th; we opened a class at our Stevensville office for 6:00pm since our class at the Severna Park Library has reached capacity (yay!).

We are also offering a morning class the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with Robbie (November 22nd at 10:00am) and the Saturday after Thanksgiving with Alli (November 25th at 10:00am), both at our office in Stevensville.

You can register for all of these holiday week classes right here on our website under “Upcoming Classes”. As always, if you have any questions about which class you need, please call me, Caitlin, at 410-758-2022.

I’ll also note that Saturday, November 25th is Small Business Saturday!!! So please support our small business by getting certified and then spend some time in our adorable county and spread the wealth with all of the other wonderful small businesses that surround us!

Until next time, have a wonderful and safe holiday!

2017 QAC Business & Home EXPO

Good Evening Everyone!

Tomorrow, Thursday, October 19th, is the 2017 Queen Anne’s County Business & Home EXPO!!! Kevin and I have participated in this event the last couple years and we love it! We not only get to meet and talk with members of the community but we get to mingle with other local businesses – all of which get to benefit from what we do everyday which is teach the life-saving skills of CPR!

The EXPO is FREE and runs from 5:00pm to 7:30pm so make sure you come out and take a look at all the amazing local businesses that will be there! And, of course, make sure to stop by our booth to say HI!

– Caitlin

Welcome! Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! Make sure you check in with us every week to see what we’re getting in to! We’ll be sharing updates, class info and event info right here!.

Let’s first begin with who we are. Who is Keep the Beat? Well,  my name is Caitlin; if you call our main office number, you’ll be hearing my voice on the other end (and sometimes the soulful additions of Natalie, our toddler sidekick). If you call our secondary office number, you will get to talk with my husband, and one of our instructors, Kevin. We are a family-owned, very family-oriented, training company that offers American Heart Association CPR/AED and first aid classes. We also offer ACLS, Bloodborne Pathogens, BLAST! Babysitter Lessons & Safety Training, and Wilderness First Aid classes. We definitely like to keep ourselves busy!

Our classes are all taught by only the best instructors around! That’s right, we snatched up all of them so don’t bother looking anywhere else! We strive to offer a variety of open-to-the-public CPR/AED and first aid classes every week. You can attend one of our amazing classes at our office in Stevensville (we are here for you Kent Island!), in Severna Park at the Severna Park Community Library, and in Columbia at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center.

We will also do on-site training for companies who invite us to their location to train a group of their staff. If this sounds intriguing, please don’t hesitate to call! We are available any time that works for you!

Before we call it a wrap, make sure you check out our Facebook page!

Thanks for checking in with us! Make sure you come back again to learn more and more about our company and how we can help you!
