This is 3-3.5-hour training program for potential teenage babysitters. The BLAST! This is a 1 -1.5-hour course designed to show students how to properly use various types of Fire Extinguishers in different environments and scenarios. A comprehensive combination course designed to teach members of the general public, as well as daycare providers, boat captains, coaches, teachers, scout leaders how to assess and treat injuries and medical or environmental emergencies until professional help arrives. Skills focus on keeping the rescuer safe, while providing life-saving assistance to the patient in a variety of scenarios. This skills evaluation takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Prior to this evaluation, students must have completed the “Heartsaver FIRST AID ” online cognitive portion of the course via the AHA website, and present their completion certificate to the skills evaluator. Students are given time if requested to practice with our equipment prior to the evaluation. Upon successful demonstration of the required skills, students will receive the appropriate course certification card, valid for two years.
